- 21st March 2013 - Today is the start of the two-day workshop on Cervical Cancer Advocacy Capacity Building at the Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort & Casino in St. Maarten. The workshop was arranged by The Healthy Caribbean Coalition (HCC) in partnership with the Sint. Maarten Ministry of Public Health Social Development And Labour - Collective Prevention Services, for members of various Caribbean Cancer Societies and Foundations. This workshop was made possible through the generous support of the American Cancer Society, Health Action Partnership International (UK) and GlaxoSmithKline.

- 14th March 2013 - The Healthy Caribbean Coalition (HCC) in partnership with the Sint. Maarten Ministry of Public Health Social Development And Labour - Collective Prevention Services, will be conducting the first regional Civil Society Cervical Cancer Advocacy Capacity Building Workshop at the Sonesta Great Bay Beach Resort & Casino in St. Maarten on March 21st and 22nd 2013 for members of various Caribbean Cancer Societies and Foundations. This workshop was made possible through the generous support of our partners: American Cancer Society, Health Action Partnership International (UK) and National Heart Fund (UK).

HCC Press-Release - NO PUBLIC SMOKING IN SURINAME -
10th February 2013 - The Healthy Caribbean Coalition (HCC) extends congratulations to the citizens of Suriname with the passing of the Anti-Tobacco Law by parliament on February 7th, which bans smoking in public places in Suriname. This is an important step in the fight against the ill-effects of tobacco and will have a positive impact on the health of the people of Suriname.

PAHO/WHO report cites model efforts that can be replicated in both high- and lower-income countries - New York, 21 September 2011 (PAHO/WHO) — Countries in the Americas have pioneered effective ways to fight the growing epidemic of noncommunicable diseases (NCDs), setting examples that other countries around the world can follow, says a new report released by the Pan American Health Organization/World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) this week during the historic U.N. summit on NCDs in New York.
